My wife was diagnosed with Pituitary Tumor a little over a year ago and she is still taking medication for it. Is this medical condition going to reject our PR applications?

We are in the process of applying. If her medical condition does not allow us to get Canadian PR, we do not want to go through so much hassles and expenses.

Can somebody say something about the medical issue my wife has?

Most of you may not know what Pituitary Tumor is. It is non-cancerous (99% of the time), non-transferable health issue. It can be treated by surgery or by taking medicine. Most of the times doctors recommend medicine over surgery. That is what my wife is doing. The medicine is very expensive in the US, so we buy them online from Canada. My wife did not have insurance when she was diagnosed with it and now she is not able to buy insurance as they call it pre-existing condition.

What kinds of health issues are denied or not admissible by the Canadian government?

If its not infectious than I would assume it should not be a hassle but why dont you call immigrations and talk to them.

How can I call immigration? I do not find any phone numbers and e-mails in their website. I heard that they have call centers in various places in Canada that people can call and ask questions, but I live in US.

I called a couple of those numbers. All they have is recorded message and there is no option to talk to customer service rep/operator.

The recorded message does not talk anything about medical issues.
