Writing this on behalf of a friend who is reeling from the big blow that came through the health of his loved one.
His daughter of 8 years old developed a tumor in the brain that was identified after repeated observation of lacking motor skills and eroding speech skills. Running to the hospital got them CT Scan / MRI scan which showed the growth of the tumor in the brain, the hospital itself booked an appointment with sick kids where in the next 8 hours the kid was operated successfully removing the tumor, the kid is back to normal life in the last couple of days where as the biopsy report to identify the nature of the tissue is pending.
Now the question, he is on work permit (so OHIP covered everything), he was eligible for PR in the experience class category, hence he applied for PR and got the AOR, pending medical and other finalizing formality.
Would this medical condition of the kid affect the PR application ?
The kid has been attending school in Canada for the past two year. More than anything they are concerned about getting similar healthcare if they return back home.
Thanks.

I don't have the knowledge or expertise to respond to the query - but, glad that the child is recovering and doing well.
Your friend is right in being worried about the quality of medical care - once you have been exposed to it here.
That is the beauty of this system. If you are ever exposed to the support (eg. Special needs kids / hospital etc.) - you realize that all the tax you are paying is going to good use (whoever gets the benefit - is immaterial). It justifies the high tax payments we make.
Whenever I hear such stories - I am in a good place and at peace.
All the best and wish the little girl speedy recovery and a negative report.
