This article was very interest and am sure will help the new guys to think before they decide to come
It is a pity that while on one hand immigrants from south lament the lack of information, on the other hand articles like this are totally ignored.

There is plenty of information and tips in this one. A clear indicator how unprepared immigrants come and even worse how few prospective immigrants in India are even noticing these articles and analysing them.

DIE HARD !

It is true, those who complain should have watch on such stuff. Its their unprepareness causing main problem..

A Proud Indian Canadian
Depressing and factual at the same time.
To a certain degree, many people are aware of the hardships that await them when they come here. I was in India recently and I met so many people who want to come here. When I tried to warn them about the job scene here, they said they'll do ANY job, but they're fed up with the situation there and just want to leave, primarily owing to kids.
I guess its only after coming here that they learn the true meaning of ANY job.
But you can't blame them for trying either. Although India has and is making a lot of progress, there's no denying that basic infrastructure in medium sized cities is in shambles. I was in Baroda and Ahmedabad and the pollution and traffic situtation is appalling and getting worse everyday in the cities. You can sense the chaos as you as you get off the plane. Long queues everywhere, plus the law and order situation is a total mess. Add to that things like communal riots and earthquakes and no wonder people are looking for a way out.
The struggle here makes us all think fondly of India, but I think at that point our mind is filtering out all the undesirable stuff.
I guess my point is no place is perfect. If you have a great job and are doing very well personally and professionally in India, think a 1000 times before coming here.
If, however, you've absolutely made up your mind to come here or are already here, ignore all the negatives and try your absolute best. Have heart in the fact that despite the Canadian experience catch-22, despite the harsh winter, despite discrimination and despite disappointment, there are thousands who have made it by hard work and effort.
Like they say "This too shall pass".
