I said why ID as of yet is not a science.

I dont see a problem with that, except if Science were a Job and ID an applicant, he/she would have to answer the above questions.
Science, the employer is asking "This is what we are, this is what we require, Why Should I hire you?"
That is, if ID wants to get in.
