Scarborough office generally takes at least two months from the date of citizenship test. Personal experience not once but by other friends also.

They tell you the result of your test right there when you hand it in.

When did this rule change? I have yet to hear of anyone getting his results soon after the exam. When I appeared for the exam, I was told that it would be informed in maximum 8 weeks time.

Do we need to take the original birth certificate, Or its translated English version for the Citizenship test?
I dont recall taking mine....
I guess they state that you have to take original copies of the documents submitted with your initial applcation (2 pieces of photo id/passports /birth certificate, etc)
Now, with the initial application you dont need to submit ur bith certificate.
So the question is : If u didnt submit a photocopy of birth certificate with ur original application, Do u need to take one for the Citizenship test?
I am planning to inquire with CIC anyways... Anyone got an answer for the above question?
Also,
If u have applied for ur childs citizenship alongwith as well, When you get a letter to write the citizenship test, Do u also get a seperate letter for your child : to take ur childs documents with you ? Do you need to take ur child with you for the citizenship test/document verifications?
Thanks, bison
