My mother came on visitor visa to canada and we applied for extention of visitor visa one month before expiry of original date and got extention for another 6 months. We want to know whether we can apply for extention of vistor visa once again and what are the chances of getting the second extention. can a valid reason for seeking extention be the application filed by us for her sponsorship under family class?
not that difficult to get 2nd extension.
yes, sponsorship can be a valid reason but since sponsorship means she wants to be here permanently, technically the officer will have to refuse the extension of visitor's visa.

HI Vijay,
Just wanna share our experiences about extending your relative's visa.. My brother applied for the second for his visa to be extended but was denied. Another friend of mine who wants her mom to extended for another 6 months was also denied for the second time. I got a friend whose mother stayed here for 2 years but they have to hire a lawyer in other for her mom to get another visa. Hope this helps..
It all depends on circimstances/supporting documents & discretions of the officer: I helped a person, staying in Canada since last 5 years as a visitor and last week, submitted next extention...(Will be positive again)
