Hi,
I've been reading this forum for a while now and its definitely a very good source for information.
My questions is, if someone is working on H1 in USA and gets his Canadian PR, can he/she land in Canada; get his/her PR card and return back to USA, still maintaining his/her H1 status. The reason I ask this is because, if a person needs 4-6 months to settle everything in US, obviously he would want to continue with his job for that period.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Yes.

Is there any limitation (number of months) on how long one can stay out of Canada after becoming a landed immigrant, before moving to Canada permanently?
u need to stay 2 out of 5 years in canada to maintain your PR

Non illigitamus carborundum
So if a person has worked in U.S for about 10-11 months that year and decides to move to Canada before the end of the year[say nov/dec], how does that tax thing work out?
The person still has to do tax filing next year for the 10-11 months spent in U.S.
Right?
What about 1-2 months towards the end spent in Canada?
Also if u move to Canada, how can one file taxes in U.S from Canada?
