Hi Massod ji
Can you give me your advice as what needs to be done?
I got my citizenship this month while i am currently working in US on EAD and Adjustment of Status (I-485) and have valid i-94 and Advace Parole to enter US.
After obtaining my citizenship, i have applied for Canadian passport next day and got my passport in a week. Now, i have to get back to work in US.
If i travel by car, what documents should i have to show at the border?
Since, canadian citizens do not need visa to enter US, just showing my citizenship card or canadian passport is good enough? Or do i have to declare at the border that my passport has changed to canadian passport and i am working in US on EAD and my status is I-485 and also do i have to show my Advance Parole document too?
If so, what will they do? will they stamp on my canadian passport as 'Parolled' and date as they normally do for indian passports.
Your advice is very helpful for me, thanks a lot.
Maybe you will have to start your green card application all over again because you have lost your Indian citizenship on which your application was based.
I don't have xpertise in US immigration laws. Telling them the truth [the whole truth] is always a good thing. Passport should be sufficient.
