Got the New Zealand immigration ok yesterday, actually we had applied to both the places Canada and NZ and now both are ok.
Can’t afford going to both the places and have to choose one. CD members if any of you were in this situation what would you do?
Pro and Cons of both the places, simple, I like both the places that’s why the decision is very difficult for us.
Any suggestions??
great,
Icecream you have laddu in both the hands.and now you will be under tremendous pressure to select one as you rightly said it is not possible to stay in both the countries.
You have to struggle in both the places & start life anew.
Its difficult so take your time & decide. Regarding Canada, you can find lots of positive & negative views on this website. New Zealand, I am certainly not in a position to advise you.
Thanks & regards.
Rajan.

Let's make India a better place !
Take New Zealand , dump Canada. New Zealand has many more job opportunities , treatment of immigrants is much nicer. Cost of living is HALF of cost of living in Canada and average salaries are the same. Taxes are higher in NZ but is compensated by better Superannuation scheme and better unemployment benefits. Don't go to Auckland. Go to smaller city like Wellington , Christ church , Invercargill etc.
new zealand is a society where they are loosing all their young to Australia. so you will be a welcome party. if things dont work out there you can go to Australia once you become citizen there.
we are in canada. we love it here. if you decide to come here best to go to a small place. its not so good in big cities. nova scotia and new fondland is great if you are a professional engineer doc etc
what ever you decide. if you believe you are making the right decision then you will succeed. all the best have a great life
Thanks everyone for your suggestions, we are thinking of completing the landing formalities for canada in December return back to ME in January 2006. For New Zealand we still have time in our hand and than go and visit / complete landing formalities in June 2006. Staying in both the countries for two months each atleast will give us some clear picture. Our next step would be to move permanantly to one of them. Only we have to be sure of our expenses before we proceed with our Globe trotting.
Double post sorry.
