Forget about the detractors (for now at least ).
Get the word out. That will be more powerful than anything.

Word of mouth works in almost every area.

Dont worry about the number of signatures. 7 or 10. (People are counting ).

AFAIK there are not many active participants on this board.
But across other boards and websites and out of this forum there are many many who will sign.

Some people are hounding you because the objective was set a little high and frankly meeting the PM is not much of a headway. The facts are known to most people. The govt and others hav acknowledged it, so I dont know why people are still doubting our assertion.

I realize a new forumite comes aboard and seeks answers to questions about the effort or makes some comments. Thats fine. Just answer the relavant parts and ignore the personal attacks if you feel they are personal. Personally i would answer everyone. But then you invite further futile arguments.

Since this has been done to death, Just keep this thread current and continue.

This letter is stupid.
Issue is not some hidden racism, Canadian experience or any such thing.. Issue is economics... There are a lot more people coming in than what Canadian economy can absorb. Canada should do away with skilled immigration policy and only keep employer sposored or after employment immigration policy. In short .. come here on a temperory visa to look for employment. If you find one.. and after you have filled 2 years of taxes with certain salary in certain trades.. if those trades are in demand list then you get to stay permenently so long as you work 1 more year in the same position. For any other cases your employer has to sponsor you.. they don't have to go thro' labor certification but they do have to prove that you have been working for them for at-least 1 tax year .. only then you get to immigrate as skilled immigrant. Right now any Tom, Dick and Anwar qualifies based on some work done somewhere else.. each economy is different.. what worked in UAE or India may not be valuable here..
This has to come from immigrant and minority groups.. constant inflow of unmatched poor or near-poor people only serve to bring down standard of Canadian Living and remakes this country in the image of those overpopulated and overexpended lands which people are fleeing in the first place..
STOP SKILLED IMMIGRATION and update process!!! that should be the rallying cry for every immigrant !!
