Normally, the quota for H1B visa starts from Oct 1st. This year quota is already full.

For the next year quota, you can apply after April 1, 2006 and you can start working only from October 1, 2006.

I am in the same boat and would like to give a try out for 2006. But I wonder I am in the marketing field. Is it possible for me? How many people's H1 got approved if they are in the marketing field? Any idea. What you think should I give a try out. I have 2 years of work experience under my belt in marketing working for the IT companies.


Also I would like to know about the UK holiday work visa for 2 years. Please share some idea about this as well.
