Looking for TN VISA

HI
I am canadian citizen living in mississauga looking for TN visa sponsorship. i have one question regarding TN visa, if i got a TN visa from any employer in USA is that necessory that i work for that employer or i can work for any employer in USA.2nd question is that my wife is landed immigrant here do i get get a TD visa for her on border same time or i have to apply for her in USA consulate in Toronto.your feed back is appreciable.

-- You are authorized to work for the employer who got you the TN status. TN status is employer specific, just like H1B.

Researching Google and info scattered all over says one can hold more than 1 TN visa/status at the same time, i.e., working on, say, 2 TNs for 2 different employers.

Can someone throw some light on this? Is this true? Anyone with experience?

This is true. I do not have a personal experience, but I know that you can have multiple TNs e.g. have 2 TNs from 2 employers, if you are doing 2 part time jobs.

The TN1 visa is soon going to be for 3 years at a time ...
That would eliminate yearly visa renwal..
BTW TN1 is the easiest work visa for US...
Converting to H1 from TN1 is also very easy

Hi ! can anyone suggest what are the documents required for filing a TN .
Does visa officer check any employers listed on resume ?
I will be filing my TN at Pearson ..
