Hi CD's
Is it easy to move to the USA for Visit / Job search after getting Canadian PR. If so what is the usual period of visa offered by the US immigration considering the applicant has Candian PR?. Can the application formalities be done from Canada itself?

The advantage you would have is locational. You would be closer to the potential employer for interview. It is easier to obtain visit visas to USA when you are a PR here.
If you could find employment in USA and commute, while you live in Canada it would be advantageous. If not you would be losing out on your Canadian PR.
The advantage comes into play only when you are a Citizen, when you can work there on a TN visa.
Please note that the American Green Card is becoming a \"Dream\" now a days due to long delays on the wait time. You could see that in one of my recent posts. Many Desis are leaving US either to India/Paksitan or Canada due to the uncertainities in the Visa situation.
Lastly post 9/11 certain communities have found Canada, a better place than USA due to Home Land Security/Patriot Act as they are under constant suspicision/surveillance even when they are committed and law abiding citizens because of their name/religion.
