Hello,
Me and my husband are originally from New Delhi, India and we have been living in Canada for about 6 years now. We have a 22 year old daughter and we were looking for her to get married but our daughter is very insistent on marrying only a Pakistani (we're a muslim family from India). So my question is, if she does marry a Pakistani, will she able to adjust there? me and my husband have absolutely no problem with Pakistanis, but we have no idea what life in Pakistan is like. Is it very similar to India? Also, my daughter doesn't like staying in Canada. She's very very adamant about moving back.

I am an Indian but know quite a bit about life in Pakistan. It is that free like India except in few cities like Kharachi and you have to be confined to certain circles. Otherwise most of them are very conservative.
I don't know what type of life you led in India or Canada, but this is the take.
Please bear in mind that being hostile neighbours issues of citizenship ,visa , residense etc are a bane between them . I have known legally married spouses unable 2 get a visa / residense.
Manasvi.

I somehow think, person to person interaction would be as normal as you can imagine irrespective of the political situation or country of origin. It's the darn politicians and Govt's that mess things up for all of us.

As a side-note, more Indians should visit Pakistan. And vis-versa. I think that is the only way to truly understand you neighbours.
