I AM "CAN-INDIAN"
I am one of those who lived in Dubai and in Toronto.
Life in general - Dubai had 6 days work-week. Even though you worked for a comapany with 5 day work-week, you were expected to work half a day on Saturdays. (I had Friday & Saturday as my weekend.) So you do get some more personal time. However, you donot have a hired help to help you with housework. So that extra one day you get, you have clean the house.
Job - Will depend on the field you are working. In canada, anybody who has not studied in Canada is without "Canadian experience". You donot get preference over those who worked in India. The only people who may get little preferential tratment is those who worked in Europe and Australia. Of course. those who worked in the USA are more welcome than even the Europeans and australians.
Business Opportunities - Are abundant. However, the business culture is very different from what is in India and Dubai. The culture in Dubai and India is you hire people to work for you as the labor is cheap. Here you have to work very hard for your business to succeed. The hired help may be very expensive.
