Rahul,
Get some facts straight.
Even in medicine, you need to get minimum marks to pass. If you donot get min. marks you will not be given a degree.
Or are you suggesting that Lower caste students will be given a degree irrespective of if they pass or not. I think that you should change your attitude. This is not the way any educated man would speak.
In any profession there are bad eggs who can be of any caste. I accept that some lower caste students need more teaching to understand what a upper caste student might have understood. But remember that in an area such as medicine, they have stringent standards before passing any student.
OTOH, What do you say for rich Forward class students whose dad's get them admission to private medical college paying huge capitation fees? Do you think that they would be any better than a lower caste student in govt. or private medical collge.

I think what rahul is trying to say is;
how would it sound if a doctor had completed his medical degree in extended time like enng's who complete their degrees in 6-7 yrs instead of regular 4 yrs.
what I think rahul, docts need to be MD atleast to get good jobs or start a perferct clinic. I have never been to MBBS myself, I always look for the degree and certificates and my experience my doct's have.

I know that there is minn. marks needs for passing any exam. But here I am saying that people having engg/medical in 6-7 yrs and they got failed 2-3 yrs bes. they got admission on quota base and they are not competitive enough for that education as compare lot of general people who did not get admission but better than quota people.

Rahul,
You are again coming to the same point. Give those guys a chance yarr! How long should they be supressed in society?
as lately as 1994 (my college year) lower caste boys who were admitted in REC Trichy were very poor guys. The only exception was 2 guys whose parents had done +2 and were clerks in the Railways. But hey , i know a lot of forward class people who were just +2 (in the 60's) and yet they were in officer rank in the govt..
The rich should not be getting richer and richer and the poor should not be getting poorer and poorer. If the govt. does not come to uplift them, then who will?

Sidenote :FYI, i am a BC who had never had to avail reservation quota. In my college i got through the 32% Open Catagory available then.

I have seen so many from the so- called Backward communities who are extremely comfortable financially milking the reservation system.. Unfortunately it is not reaching the people whom it was meant to..
