I am arriving at Canada with student permit and my brother is sponsoring me. I was think that I will carry necessary cash (CAD 4000-5000) initial expenses and when to reach the univeristy, I will open account and get the funds transfered here from India.

First I would like to know, do I have show proof of funding at Port of Entry(Vancouver) ?

If yes, what are the ways to show the proof of funding.

You may be asked to show proof. It is quite rare. Your study permit is all they'll need. Possible questions: what course, what uni/college? and an address of course.
