ICICI bank dosent know what is customer service .
in there disctonory they dont hsve a word called service .
and now they are losing lots of deposits in canada .
Are you aware that ICICI Bank Canada is NOT affiliated to ICICI Bank and only shares a name (somewhat like a Franchise operation)??
They are governed by Rules and Laws of this (Canada) country !
I found out about this when I went for a verification signature for address change for my ICICI Direct trading account, which mentions on the form >>> Go to a local ICICI Bank official and get his attestation.
Following this instruction, I went to the Mississauga branch, and guess what?? He refuses, and sticks to his guns saying that they are not the real ICICI bank and they are not authorized to attest. (Ha !!! What a laugh !!!!)
As far as opening of account is concerned, yes, they suck !!! Kept me and my wife waiting for 10 minutes while they chit-chatted with NO CUSTOMER in the bank !!! My wife let them have it !!!
After opening of our account, internet autorization and activation of our account took 3 WEEKS !!!
Then we realize the account activation day should have been 3 weeks earlier on Internet Account, so we go to the bank and fought and got the interest the day we deposited and opened the account because it was a prestige issue for us, since we wanted to teach these lazy guys a lesson !!
To Sum it up, the ICICI Bank personnel are lazy, self-centered, selfish and arrogant!!
Bad Service, indeed !!

On the other hand dealing with SBI Canada folks is a pleasure except that their online facilities are not at par with TD / RBC etc ........... for deposits they offer a much better rate and I keep minimal balance with TD ......
TFSA is 3.1% .... Super saver is 2.6% ......

I also had a similar issue couple of yuears back, verification of my PAN photocopy. They refused to sign at the Gerard street branch, but I got it verified at the downtown branch.
