Hi,
My topic is based on every culture or religion. So, it should not be taken towards any specific religion.
We are always talking about religion and culture. I read some of the posts in this forum about Krishna, Jesus and Rama. Good to see that people havent't forgotten their culture yet after coming to Canada.
My question is "We say this is Rama is God or jesus is God but we really do not know our actual relationship with God and before that we do not know who we are and where do we come from"? Where did Krishna, Jesus and Rama come from? They must have been the creation of God (as there is only one God and we worship different forms or qualities of God), who is the Ultimate Authority, Ocean of peace, happiness, bliss, knowledge, Supreme Soul (Parmaatma in Hindi), the Creator, the Liberator.
We keep on saying "This is my house, this is my car..etc etc...but who is this "I", is it just the body?"
We try to find more and more about dieties like Krishna and Rama but we do not know about ourselves. Self realization is the first thing to think about and then we can be clear about the relationship with God.
Any suggestions???/
Hi,
If you are seriously interested in this topic, I suggest you read the Katha Upanishad. (Discourse 1 is just the story part and Discourse 2 to 7 explains the inner meanings of the words in the story and would probably interest you)

My "views in brief" are :
1. Some people think about it and some don't.
2. Self realisation is the end- result of a continuous, deeply personal process.
3. No amount of discussions on this topic (or , as Swami Vivekananda said, "intellectual gymnastics" ) is going to help you achieve it.
