Does anyone know what a VGA Single Chip Software is??

Everytime I connect my webcam to my laptop, I get a message that a new hardware was found, and then I get a message about installing software for the VGA Single Chip...

Are you sure that the VGA card on your laptop is properly installed?
if not then download the latest drivers from net for your VGA card and install them.
after that install the webcam drivers on your laptop and then try to plug in the webcam n see if it works.
