In one of the posts, you had mentioned the pay you get in Canada.
If that is the pay you are getting & you say you are still struggling, I would like to be in your shoes.
Incidentally I too have Kal sarp yog. I had got vidhi done for it a long time back. Have gone thro' good & bad times both after that.

Sir it is a very relative term.....My friend in India is Phd from IIM and in his first job making 18 lakhs per annum, feels it was a cheap bargain.....

I see questions in this forum which says how much money you make in India per month then you feel you should not go to Canada. Well that all depends on your lifestlye and more importantly how much you WILL MAKE once you land in Canada.
For e.g is someone is makeing 5lakhs a year in India and he works at 8$/hr here then the move is not worth it.. but if he gets a 65K job then it is well worth it
Smililarly a PHD who makes 18l in India shouldnt come here if he gets a 55k job, but if ge get a 200K offer (which is not common but not unheard of) he should come right away.
Having lived year for 13 months i have observed that LUXURY is cheaper in Canada even though it is not defined as luxury here.
A luxury 1200sqft 2 bedroom den condo near square one will cost around 250k (1crore).
There is a new condo coming up in Parel Mumbai and it was a 2 bedroom 1200sqft, It will be built like the sq one condo with swimming pool, gym etc. Please note that this is NOT downtown mumbai.
I asked my dad to find out the cost and he said it is selling for 2crore 10 lakhs.
We dare to put 0%, 5%, 10% down and get mortgage for upto 30-35yrs between 5-7%.
In India you they are at 8% and the last i knew they only give 20yr mortgages.
Now say the PHD in India makes 24lakhs a year after tax he will make 15.5lakhs/yr thats approx 130,000/pm. Assuming that ke puts 10 alkhs down his mortgage at 8% for 20yrs is 167,288. Which is much more than what he makes.
And we all know that most people prefer townhomes/semi's/freeholds more here which are more expensive.
A Honda accord is a decent car here not luxury (Lexus is luxuury here).
Accord SE Auto costs 33K in Canada and it is more loaded than a 4cyl accord you get in India which costs 45K in India. Given the lower financing rates it is much affordable over here.
I have come to the conclusion that IF YOU WANT TO LIVE LUXURY then you should live here, if you are content with a middle class life you should stay in India.
Still to live a 250k condo life with a a accord and some savings you need 90k/yr family income..
Thats my logic anyway..

As per my understanding kal sarp yoga is not related to only making money, it means the person born under this yoga is passed by many hurdles and he/she does not enjoy mental peace.
