See the point is not about me..iam perfectly fine with the way iam infact iam think iam blessed that i got a job within 4 days of landing..but iam talking about people who have great jobs back home and middle east may be who leave the jobs and all and put everything on stake and many of them i meet.
It is apparent from your original post's first 4 lines that you are not satisfied here and a best example to return |(one cannot compare INR 40K with CAD 900 pm ) .......... still in your last post you say that you are perfectly fine ..... but wish to warn others .
It seems this guy is already there and feeling good but does not want us to come ~ This is a thought prospective readers will echo in the their minds .
In trying to lend a balance to your post - I would say every one s position is unique - I have known people who have survived well in Canada and most of them are in the > 60K bracket ....... now that does not mean there aren't people who do not fit in this bracket .
I guess - one should come here but make some safeguards to return back , if one does not feel comfortable here after a couple of years .
As an add one , your own perception would change and your own original post would be null and void if you were to get a good job after 1 year ... then perhaps you would feel it was worth sticking around .

I think OP wants to give first hand experience. Many come here, start with minimum wages and do not even have time to write and advice people how their life started.
Yes, there are struggles everywhere when you start right from the beginning, but what I think OP means by 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade citizen is, if you do have to struggle, why not be with the family, friends, parents and then struggle. You will have strong support system in your country then a strange country. OP is doing justification to all the prospective immigrants and to make them think twice before uprooting fully to come settle in Canada.

Not true, You cannot exclude institutes like IITs in India.
There is not a single university in Canada which can provide education of that quality provided in IITs.
If u talk about the education in schools in Canada, it is the worst in the world.

Agreed
But not everyone gets into IIT''s or IIM's. And now with the whole OBC quota push in india, its even more difficult. At the same time compared to what the population of india is now, there are less institutions offering the level of education you need in the current economic conditions.
Sure call centers in india are doing well. however talk about the long hours there without overtime as compared to 8 hours here and then overtime after that. Its not the same working conditions.
I agree with Fido. You cant compare 25-30 years in india with 5 months - 10 months here. You have to give it more time, to change your perspective. And i can say this with confidence as i have gone through this and so have a majority of desis on this forum ( at least i think so).

Question: What if, your child does not want to do post graduation? What if, they only want to go for graduation, and start working? How would you bring your 15 - 20 yrs back? Whereas, if you spend those yrs in the place where you are happy, at least you would be satisfied.
Now, it is a different story that you like it here. That's your choice. But, thinking that living here would benefit kids in the future is stretching it little farther.

See you are not understanding the point..I am fine because i didnot leave my job back home.I had even taken return tickets and was going to go back because i knew the stakes involved. But I got laid off 15 days before my trip and I decided to come one way to canada. Now I will not feel after coming to canada that I left my 40k job for this.Anyways I had to start again in India so why not CANADA was my thinking.Iam telling about those people who leave good jobs back home thats it...why should I be jeleous of ppl coming here..no one cares for these things over here.
