hi

i read the post about the canadian english.

and i would like to suggest to all candian aspirants that they should join a call centre to get some accent or remove their accent and get acclaimatised to candain english. Moreover if you are able to play with words you can also show that you were working on behalf of an north american company these are raw thoughts and needs to be processed by an individual to use them in thier individual best intrest and make them work.

Hi Nishit,

It is a good suggestion but let me tell you that most of the people who are in this immigration / transition phase would not have the oportunity to work for the call centers simply because I believe, most of them would be in their late 20s ~ early 30s, experienced and holding good positions already....and also, almost every call center in India demands fresh / undergraduates ( Preferred age 18~25) for which most people are already over experienced...

Secondly, even economically it may not be justified that somebody who is drawing about 25~30K would be inclined to take up a job (in India) of 15~20K whereas they are under pressure to save 5~6 lacs as the savings to be brought to Canada.... Here, I am assuming here a family of 3~4 where in it is difficult to manage in 15~20K and also save for Canada.

I feel that we need to explore other ways to overcome this issue...some more tips as we already have to at least brush up Canadian English....

Need more suggestions of other guys as well...

Amit
