THere are two answers , I can suggest.

If you are already settled here in a career job , then staying put in Canada is probably the best option.

If you want to migrate to Australia because there is no career job here , then

--Life cannot get any worse even if you move to Australia
--Even if there is no career job in australia, atleast there is wonderful weather year round
--also there is nothing to lose in canada by going to australia . Only something to gain in terms of job or better life
--Rents and cost of living is cheaper in Australia
--Also never heard of professionals working in factories in Australia

so it is a 'plus' anyway you look at it

Hi Anita

I am an Austrlian citizen currently residing in India but will be moving to Canada soon.

Golden Eye is right - if you have a job in Canada then think twice (unless you are in IT). I did my Diploma in Business and MBA from Australia but when I migrated there I had to work in factories for around 6 months before I found a job (BTW- this job paid me even less). However, this gave me some credit in the industry and then I found my way up.

Most of the people I have met are working below their professional standard.
E.g - I know a guy (IIT and IIM (A)) working with Rail Infrastructure in Sydney as a Business Analyst (He was working as VP with one of the MNC banks in India). He has been there for more than 10 years now.A friend of mine who was working with AT&T in USA and drawing around US$250K was teaching at CQU university for $50K. He recently bought a 7 Eleven store and is doing well now.

No doubt the weather in Australia is lovely but is it worth taking the risk.

Now, I shall paint a rosy picture for you. I have seen people with no professional qualification doing well and driving Mercedes in Sydney but the nos are few.

plz let me know
thanks again

Hi

If you really hate Canadian weather then only migrate to Australia. If you like good people around you live in Canada. I lived in Australia for 6 years.

Although weather is a big dampening factor in Canada , but feel that people vs weather - people take preceedence .

Jayram you have lived in Aus for 6 years and now you are in Canada . Kindly share in a jist , your experience of life and people in Australia . Would be helpful for people who are considering moving to Aus from Can .

Can a person be both a Canadian as well as Australian citizen ?

Lastly , someone has made IT an exception . Why so despite IT not being on the MODL ?

Appreciate your feedback s.
