Consumers Reports Magazine has done a study of major electronic products and discovered what you already suspected. Those extended warranties that will protect your machine into the years to come are mostly a waste of money.

I used to work for future shop too and learnt that retailers LOVE to sell them because it largely works out in their favor. Not least because they do their best to wiggle out of the obligation if it ever came to that. That was 8-9 yrs ago...i've walked clear of extended warranties ever since. In amost all cases the manuf warranty suffices.

all things with moving parts need warrenties
like home theather..the dvd head is a moving part..u shud get warrenty on that..
cellphone...we dont need to get on that..but i had got it ...for safe side...and ma phone got spoiled 3 times..and they repair it and give me a standby phone(brand new ones) for the mean time...
this will go on till next 3 yeasrs...
i didnt get warrenty on laptop and now i am in big shit
the repairs cost very much...and laptop will giv u a time of 2 years..then they are garbage
