Hello to everyone. I have the immigrant visa stamped on my old passport which was due to expire in 2008; I had to make a new passport because Saudi Arabia accepts only the newer Machine Readable Passports from Pakistan, and where I had to make a brief visit to accompany my mother. The passport authorities here returned my previous passport attached to the new one. They told me that it would not affect my staus. However, I am now worried if the Canadian authorities would object to this, and we are landing in Canada in first week March. Someone please throw some light on this? I shall be greatly obliged.

No problems as long as you have the older passport attached.
