My parents received their visa ( permanent residency) and following is the timeline:
Applied in Canada December 2003
Approval received October 2006 ( delayed 4-6 months due to \"self employed\" category)
Applied to Delhi End of November 2006
First medicals Middle Feb 2007
Second medicals End March 2007
Visa received End May 2007
Can someone let me know the documents that my parents need to carry with them in addition to the passport and visa please ( do they need to apply again for PCC?- they took PCC in Oct 2006 for making the application . Is there any minimum funds that they need to bring in with them etc)
Thanks
wow...it took almost 4 years. I am gonna apply for my parents and my 2 sisters who are 20 and 14, probably from Dubai. My dad is still in dubai and my moms gone back to india and my sisters are studying in India. Do you thinb I can do the sponsership process from India. Its just 2 years back my mom and sisters went back.My mom was there almost 27 years.
Your advise appreciated.
You need to make your application to CPC Mississauga for sponsoring your parents and sisters and the approval comes in about 28 months time. Then I am not sure if they advise your parents to apply in India or Dubai- I am thinking it would be Dubai. You may want to check about your sisters eligibility as lot of factors such as age, education, dependency need to be considered I believe. There is some information available in \" Charcha\" on this topic.
