Thanks for your advice but may I assure you , its unwanted - everyone is aware of their priorities and I wish the same for you also .
I do agree that India has its problems of corruption , population crime and all - but that does not mean that the current phenomenon of rising economy is insignificant.
There may be 2 sides to a coin but a toss can be judged only on one side .
Wishing you a Good Night & hopefully to this discussion also.
I just fail to understand your point. Just because the current boom (which now you do agree is one) does not benefit the overall population you do not think it is advisable to be part of it (even if you can) and and earn more!!! Wow!!! And how does that benefit the lower classes by you staying here?

It's not about the curruption, population et all. It's about whether the majority of the population is being benefited from the current boom. I guess not. Unfortunately, I am not an economist who could provide the numbers and statistics.
For one , by earning more and paying more taxes to the Government , you are aiding in common uplifting of the society . Most of the 'booming' guys are salary earners whose taxes are charged beforehand.

As one of my friends in Bangalore mentioned ' we work 3 months for the Government ' (30% taxes)
Though less in whole population terms - this small percentage of Indians have changed the image of India in front of the whole world in the past couple of years and have contributed to major results on the exports, bourses and the economy.

I fully agree Fido, my immediate supervisor and our boss were busy hiring (for the post, I occupy) and my supervisor disregarded my application because the nationality was Indian but the Boss (WHO's country reprsentative) picked it up and asked him why I wasn't called for interview..he said "but she's Indian" the Boss replied" I wish you knew the difference between donkeys and Horses" Needless to say I was hired! (purely on the Indian "Horse" image)!

Trust me my friend - those days when the brightest Indians came out are long over . For every Indian who comes out there are at least 2-3 more callibred Indians who prefer to stay back especially when they have burgeoning pay packages in India these days . I ve seen very average people coming out on projects and I have also seen above average people back in India - these days coming abroad is fast becoming a norm than exception in yester decades.
And isnt it these 26-27 year old IT nerds who have changed the Indian workforce definition to the world in the past few years . India is termed as the back office of the world today and thats not without reason.
