I have to share the dreadfull news that
Satish Desai is no more with us. He died during an emergency
surgery in Dubai some time in Mid Ninety's. At that time he
was the service manager with IBM computers in Dubai. I have
been in touch with him when I was in UAE. Ram Kumar

Is creating a ID chargeable now? If not, how come your friends cannot create their own IDs?

And BL, I simply do not understand how this would be a useful post for any members of the CD - it is almost like exchanging e-mails with your own classmates whom no one else knows.

This is funny and strange. I have heard of people posting with multiple ids, but could never imagine more than one person using the same ID. ;)

I agree, the postings do come across as a bit wierd and disconnected, they're also a bit uncomfortable to read given the fact that they're about the loss of people you have no clue about, nor do you know the poeople who're expressing their views. And I'm still not sure what objective the OP has in mind by sharing these, they probably belong to a distribution list of friends and acquaintances vs. a forum like this.

From a moderation perspective, I don't see a reason for not allowing it though. If the poster is happy keeping all of this in one thread and the content isn't offensive to others, I don't have an issue with it.

I agree with Chandresh on this one.
The OP is recollecting some of his old memories/friends of which I am sure that none of the CD's are interested. Also it does not serve a single purpose of it being at CD. He may have to blog this in one of the more famous blogging sites.
I am sure that if we allow this kind of postings more postings of this nature from CD's/ others would be posted and it would pose a headache both for the forum members / moderators.
I recommend that this thread be locked so that we donot have repeat postings like this. I am sure that the number of CD's who agree to this will be far greater than the ones who disagree.

Sidenote : As soon as i saw Chandresh's reply on this post, I wanted to reply but my 4 hour limit had been exausted by then.

Yes, it's creepy. The purpose of public forum is to post something which is to broaden the other people's knowledge, or share something which could find it's way among everyone. I don't see any reason to post something like this personal. Not to sound insensitive and due regards to your personal friends, but please share your feelings towards your classmates in some personal blog that your other classmates can access.

But, if Moderator doesn't have any issue with it, then it's fine. Hope you can understand 'lucky284'.
