I'm looking for a Winter vacation spot in ON or QC (ideally a resort or something) that is

1. <= 5 hour drive
2. Has indoor and outdoor activities geared toward the entire family (none of whom could ski to save their lives :) )
3. Has good eateries around
4. Offers a lodge like accomodation that could fit about 3/4 families.

All families are desi families and if I can indulge in stereotypes for a second, the purpose of the trip is really to get away and have a good time, not zoom down black-diamond slopes or engage other enthralling winter sports. The ideal setting would be a place where there's good food available, indoor activities for the kids and maybe some organized tours of the area/village around.

I did check out the Blue Mountain website and it sounds mildly promising, but I'm looking for some first hand experiences there or at other smilar spots within a 5 hour drive radius of Toronto. A "desi - perspective" appreciated :)

My Initial/First thought was to suggest Mont Tremblant http://www.tremblant.ca/index.htm - but may be not suitable.

I;ll be interested to know other suggestions as well. Desperately need Good Vacation Time.

blue mountain is a good place, also cranberry and carriage hills resorts are good ones, lots of indoor activities, spa, and looking out to the white hills , try a little ski :( if doesn't work, have a hot chocolate and watch others... :-)..and accomodations have variety from cottages to hotel rooms...we liked it...
