hello,
if i am not wrong india did allow dual citizenship about 3 years back(not to sure).i was wondring if i just got my canadian citizenship can i still hold my indian citizenship and second if i can do i carry two passport or how does it work.

India never allowed Dual Citizenship, and you cannot carry both pp's.

It's more confusing because on cgitoronto website they have used world 'dual citizenship' under Overseas Citizenship of India heading.
They says - http://www.cgitoronto.ca/ :
.....intention to grant dual citizenship to such nationals of certain countries, the laws of which permit such a facility for their citizens.... The Scheme is called “Overseas Citizenship of India”.
