Hi Guys,
I am in the midst of applying for Canadian Citizenship. I have a Indian Passport. Just wondering if at this point in time I can keep my Indian Passport when I obtain Canadian Passport?
Is Dual Citizenship between Canada and India possible at this point in time?
Thank you,
Leo

awesome... thanks!
When you get Canadian Citizenship, you will loose your Indian citizenship but can apply for OCI - Overseas Citizenship of India. You will get a lifelong visa on your canadian passport and almost all right of a normal indian citizen except govt job, voting and participation in election.
If you stay over a year in india, can get indian passport too.
Check information at http://www.cgitoronto.ca.

excellent info, OCI sounds good to me!
Thank you kindly
I am not sure but I think Canada allows dual citizenship and if you have canadian citizenship alongwith any other country's citizenship. I know some persons having US citizenship at first place and canadian at second place. If you get Indian passport after living there for 1 year, you can also keep canadian passport.
Can someone throw light?
