I have a query do we need to have a HDTV connection from Rogers/Bell to view channels on HDTV TV or a regular connection of cable TV would work on HDTV.
A regular connection will work, technically. However, if you need to watch the HD channels, you will need the HD box/receiver from ROGERS/BELL.
A standard def picture on HD TV looks much worse (than the regular SD TV), especially if you have a TV 42" or more...

Thanks for your replies
Is HD box will help to improve the image of the ATN Channels
If you use the normal audio/video out connections to TV the quality will not be optimal. Refer to your TV & Cable box manual and get the quality needed cables like HDMI and hi defconnectors, this will enhance the performance for sure. Hope your TV is HD ready and is full HD 1080P that would give you a crystal picture. Compare different models/TV/brands in store to see the difference. I had paid a few extra $$$ to get the 1080P and am happy I did, the clarity is excellent.
In regards to providers last when I was about to return my digital terminal I was told by Rogers that come Feb. 09 all rogers connections would require a digital box to view rogers cable be it basic or otherwise. I think CRTC as well has given the providers a plan to have all transmitals in HD by 2010! If you are not going to view the HD channels it will not be worth to subscribe, and if you indeed have 1080p you will be happy with a digital box from Rogers w/o subscribing tothe HD channels.
Hope this helps.
