BBB is a agency you will go to if you have a claim / problem with a company.
They help you get your money back. I have done that once with some other company. Once a complain is lodged and BBB confirms that the company has to return the money, you call your Credit Card Company and they will do a charge back and give you the refund immediately. The CC on its own deals with the merchant on the basis of the BBB confirmation. Thats the way it worked for me.
If BBB is saying that the company is not rated by then, what that would mean is that if I ever have a problem with this company and go to BBB they will not help me take the complain since it has already being rated as risky by them.
From personal experience , I did not find Acanac reliable . The phone line used to die every now and then w/o any information .... and phone is something which you should have reliability with .

So far, I m bent towards Acanac.
Did you read the BBB report link by akscanada? Does the fact that the service is rated as unsatisfactory, or that they have so many outstanding unresolved issues make no difference?

What you have done about the phone line? As they use Bell line did you move to Bell or done with other arrangement?
I was with Bell as well earlier. Moved to TekSavvy a while back and have been very happy. They lease their lines from Bell so you should get the same speeds as you would through Bell. I also have my phone line through them.
In the GTA you should get 200GB of bandwidth for $30 a month (not dry loop). Not a promotional price...
Their customer service has been good for me. Go to dslreports and read a little of what people have to say about the different providers. TSI seems to have good reports from a customer service perspective.
I think Acanac's prices of $20 go up after the first year.
Am considering ACANAC to switch my current (rogers) services to which I am paying a hell, w/o a real use.
More references from CD members / users - about Acanac services will help. Thanks,
