We just got a confirmed price from 2 travel agents in India for a 1-way ticket from India to Toronto for INR 26,000 (Alitalia with a 2.5 hour stopover in Milan). I have used Alitalia before and the experience was good. Also the 2 travel agents (in India) gave me the same price (INR 100 difference between them) with the airline.

The second best price was Jet airways, but that was about INR 8000 more than Alitalia and also the weekend prices with Jet seem to be more than weekday travels.

Hence, you may want to enquire about the price difference with your agent depending on the day of the week you are travelling on.

Another tip: If possible fly only with 1 airline with decent connecting time between flights throughout your journey else you run the risk of missed flights and lost baggage.
