Hi,

I am a PR of Canada working in vancouver for last one year and i am planning to take up a job in seattle as I have a H1B visa and will travel everyday from vancouver to seattle.

Is there anyone who has done this in past?
Will there be any issue when I apply for my Citizenship of canada?
How much time it should take from Surrey to Seattle on a working day?

Thanks.
CD

Depending where you are in Surrey.

If you are going monday to friday at peak rush hours..you are looking at a minimum of 2 .5 hours each way.

Plus border wait times. On friday's of long weekends especially, coming back up you may be waiting at the border for a long time.

It sounds tiring..do you have any other choice (ie renting a place for the weekdays and coming home on the weekends?)

if you are planning to travel daily then you should look into getting the NEXUS pass. that will save border time but still it's too much to travel everyday 2-3 hrs one way. we know lot of people who share a place for weekdays and go to Surrey on weekend.
