I got a call from Primerica saying that they are looking for recuiters and my resume matched their criteria( wonder how?). They asked me to come down for an inetrview . I never applied there so have no idea what this interview is all about?
Has anyone had any experience with this company and what do they exactly do( life insurance , financial planner etc)? They called me next week so i am looking for some inputs about this company. Any piece of info is welcome.
My feedback about Primarica is not at all positive. Apprarenty, when i came to Canada about 1month when i was in canada.i got a call from them from no where they found my resume on internet and asked to come for a interview. On the phone they asked about how do you feel about working with financial industry. I said awesome, as i was desperately looking for a job at that time. When i went for an interview at their Donmills & Eglinton location i saw lots of people like me who had come they put us into a room and a guy came and did the presentation about how to earn money and educate people for saving money bla bla and make money from them. I think its kind of quickstar thing but intially you have to pay about 400$ clear exams to get some of licence. And try to find similar person like you get him registerd with Primirica and that how it goes on.
I may be wrong? Any fellow desis had the same experince like me.

Beware of the company Primerica, they target new immigrant. I got a call from them when i came to Canada few years back, i ignore their calls and so many of my friends (new commers) do received calls from them. It is a waste time to go and meet these people.
Its been a year now that we have been in Canada. I remember getting a call from them when we just arrived but by that time I had already got a job and i told them same. At that time i was over occupied with my new job and my pregnancy that i never bothered to enquire about them.
Now I am on my Mat leave and again out of nowhere apparently same person called again to find if i was working and if i would be interested to join them.
Does that mean that these people not only call new immigrants but they also keep checking our working status !
Thanks all of you for heads up.
When I was new I LOST my 1/2 working day for this so called "INTERVIEW" as Primerice was "RECRUITING" ..
They made me rich within no time and it seemed that earning 100 k a year is nothing ( I was told that I was thinking too low ) provided I invest my time and calibre ...

Growing Old Is Mandatory ..Growing UP is Optional
If you wish to enter the financial field, Primerica might be a useful starting point, provided you have a good RVP (kinda like a mentor).
I have nothing negative nor positive to say about Primerica. Can be good , can be a downer.
WFG is better for a start, in my opinion
Also Primerica is used as an add-on for many people to earn extra money and to write off expenses. Very big clients of AGF Trust. Actually so is WFG.
The compensation is more of a honeycomb than a pyramid. Can be good. I know many people who have fared well there.
