i think all these shocks are managable if someone has a zeal to win.

Maybe After I succeed in canada say in another 2-3 years time, I shall also talk about half empty and half full. Today while struggling, I am not in a mood to enjoy such sense of humour. Perhaps I may not enjoy this joke of half empty and half full ever, after achieving success in canada, because I will always be aware that, somewhere some newcomer/new immigrant is still suffering/ struggling in canada like we did and it will go on and on.:b

I hope you are also not in mood to post any jokes today and realise that this forum is not to post 2-3 copy-paste jokes everyday.

Because guess what? Your maid, driver and ironing guy are back in India, enjoying a cricket match on TV and telling their
family about what a nice time you must be having in Canada!

I was feeling sympathetic while reading your story until I came across the above points:

1) No sympathy for someone who fails their drivers testing because they cant bribe the tester..how horrible of a driver are they?
2) No sympathy for having to install an illegal satellite dish to save $$...cable isnt a necessity of life..lots of people live without it.
3) No sympathy at all for losing all your domestic help. Adults can clean up after themselves.
4)I hate to say this but plumbers in India also charge you money to provide a service. Why complain about this in Canada? Also, eating cereal isnt a hardship. Its a choice.

It is far not a joke . It is a different perspective of things in life . I do not count myself as successful here yet but I have no regrets of coming to Canada after leaving a very well paid job in S’pore . I had done and still do odd jobs from time to time .
I did not landed successful here and nor did any of my friends . Most of them had a zeal to success ,were hard working and consistent . In all past years , I had seen them ranting about Canada and how life was good back there , but none of them ( yes absolutely none of them ) went back . Some said it is due to their kids educations , some said that they bought property here and now are in a fix . So everyone stayed here on different pretext .
Have you ever wondered why people like GG ,BL , Chandresh PratikM, SS , Ftfl investpro , Hcheda ( and the list goes on ) have nothing negative to say about Canada ? Mind you I know some of them and they did not landed here with huge cash . I guess they are too busy to make life better instead of complaining .
I feel sad for the people who make such a big decision of migration based upon views of the person who is still struggling . But don’t you know inside that this struggle will pay you off some day , otherwise you would have gone back long time .
I am the person who like to regret things after attempting . I do not want rest of my life thinking – What if I have attempted what I wanted and succeeded .

Today ben has posted something to TK’s reply to which I applaud .

P.S: Strictly No offence meant to anyone and if someone feel hurt , I can remove the post immediately .
