Since one week i have been getting calls from thiese numbers. sometimes they hangup sometimes they ask my name and tell me that they have information of some online degree about which i had inquired online. When i tell them i haven't they hangup.

I googled these numbers and found out that many people are getting these calls. Only thing i am puzzeled about is what kind of scam they are running ?

Hi all CD's,

Even me i got call yesterday from some person, and told me that my name is selected for Draw of 2008 Ford Escape. and they given me address 51, Inernational Blvd. Etobicoke, M9W 6H3 and given his phone no - 905-963-7365.

They told me over phone that i selected one of lucky person for these gift and told me to come on these sunday at around 11.30 a.m. on above said address with only wife............NO FRIENDS.......NO RELATIVES...........

I wondered and i just asked that person name was Brayn "shall i come with my friend?" than he replied me NO than you are not eligible for draw. Obviously i refused to go there. But i wondered how these kind of person making SCAMS????

I got a similar call this week, she said I'm eligible for 1 of the 5 prizes, and she read the 5 prizes. She asked me to come the next evening with my wife, to which I refused, saying I can only come alone (and which is a fact my wife was working). She gave me a few options for the weekend and none were suitable. Well she just said GoodBye and vanished. The call was from some Travel Club, and I know it is a timeshare thing, although she denied it initially even without me asking....
