Beware you might get responses for your classified ads which could be from a scammer. I got this response for my car ad in the CanadianDesi classifieds.

Well how can one find out if it's from a scammer? Here are the clues.

1. I would be making payment via Bank certified Check/money order and would want to know if that is ok with you.

2. I want you to let me have your payment details such as your name,address and phone number so that I can have payment mailed out to you.

3. 2063398111 This phone number is from US WA (Seattle) area belongs to http://www.IPKall.com" rel="nofollow">LINK free VOIP phone service. You can check phone numbers at:

I stopped using Sulekha.com because now you get responses only from scammers.

Thought this scam is going on for so long that people are aware of it. Interesting to know that still attempts are on.

Yeah that is very much true that these scammers are still around . Further they will tell you that money order that they are sending will be of more amount so after deducting all cost pls send the rest of money .

Recently I placed several ads in Kijiji and I got lot of response with similar text ( which made me suspicious ) .. I also noticed that these kind of responses I received ONLY from my ads where I had included my id with in the ad . All other ad's where one has to send a response thru Kijiji never invited any scammer ..

I also placed an ad in CD for our dodge car. I got numbedr of responses like that. One was from the same person. Its very scary.
