Landing on 20 December 2008, How many days it will take for getting PR

I am landing on 20th December 2008 and my entry Visa is expiring on 26th December. Since I would be returning after 10 days of landing. Would like to know if I will be able to recieve my PR card during this period - as the Chrismas and New Year Holidays will also be starting.
Pls advise?

10 days is too short to receive anything by mail.
PR Card takes anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months.

I have landed on 3rd jUne '08 and have received PR Card on 27th June '08. So it will take minimum of 3 weeks if the offices are functioning normally without holidays.
It all depend case to case.
one friend of mine came also in a hurry to get PR and wanted to return quickly.
Though his wife and children PR's were received in one month, his own came after 3 months.
