Hi,
I used to live in Ethiopia. I was just going through this website
http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/yellowBookCh5-MalariaYellowFeverTable-India.aspx
and found that I need to have a yellow fever vaccination. Are their any other requirements when traveling to India?
2) can I go to my family doc and get the vaccination?
Thanks
sorry ... I posted it to the wrong section.
I am traveling to India [not USA].
World Health Org with the help of the local Government clinics provides Yellow fever vaccinations; they are free of the cost and last for 10 year. I work for WHO in Latin America, the phone numbers of your local WHO is below:
Office of the WHO Country Representative
Tel: 251 153 47 77
Tel: 251 153 15 50
Fax: 251 151 40 37
P.O. Box 3069, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Please call the office and ask for there EPI officer or Expanded Program on Immunization officer- Dr Schluter William +251 11 553 47 77/ GPN 34643 , he should be able to tell you where to get the vaccination locally (I mean the name of the Govt. Clinic). I tried searching on net but could not find it; the WHO office should be able to help. For more information check the link.

Sorry, I just re read your post again and it says I used to live in .....
I assume you are in Canada (how they allowed you to travel to Canada without a card? LOL! leave it) check the link below, it gives you the list of clinics in Canada (region wise) which can provide you the vaccination, choose one near your home.

Thank you.
Let me check it out - I live in Scarborough.
I contacted
Dr. Marvin Gerson 2115 Finch Avenue
West,
Suite 216C
Toronto, ON
M3N 2V6
(416) 744-8386
and was quoted $100 for consultation and $50 the yellow fever injection.
Quite expensive, I must say.
I did get the (i) Typhoid & (ii) Hepatitis A and B vaccine. Cost me $110 bucks with prescription.
So just trying to save some cash.
Thanks for your help
