Want to install satellite receiver for Desi TV channel.
Can someone help?
Where to start? Whom to call? Which all channel I will receive?

Look up http://www.totalfta.com/ for Satellite info.It is a forum and you will have to sign up.Most of the Indian Channels are FTA(Free to Air).You will not have to pay a dime.

There are 2 Sat providers that can be received using FTA receiver
1> Dish
2> Bell express view.

Both are encrypted and need decryption software to crack the encryption.. This is not free but actually illegal.. In canada Enforement is next to nothing so around 1 million consumers are using it..

The decrption software needs to be updated everytime the provider changes the encryption keys.. and sometimes this can take time since the developers have to hack to get the keys..


It is hence critical that u get a recievier which has good developer support and also software can be updated through usb.
Viewsat Ultra and Sonic view Priemer are 2 good receivers to have..

nfusion is a good reciver. It connects to the internet and directly downloads the new keys when they change. However they do have system upgrades that need to be done manually.
I have had nfusion since early May and it has gone down exactly twice for about a day
