Desiguy 1981,
Doing a SAP course does not have any pre requsite ( I have seen B. Sc. with a 12th std. fail, B. com, M. sc. Botonay, do it and get a good job). So entering it would not be a very difficult thing.
However, getting a job after doing SAP is the greatest problem. You need a push / insider to get the first job and with the economy in shambles, getting the first break in the job would be the priority (which is more tough than studying itself)
These days in India, every tom dick and harry in India are doing it and waiting to get employed (In b;lore one module is 4 month duration, part time and Rs. 35,000). You have an advantage of being in Canada and also you have nice IT back ground. If you are on EI., the Govt. can sponser you for some SAP course module at their cost in local institutions...
Also SAP is harder to learn then Oracle / Visual basic etc...
In 1996 when I wanted to enroll in SAP in India, the consellor kicked me out saying that they need a BE degree with atleast 4 years industry experience to learn SAP. It was 2.5 lakhs in those days. However, now it is so common for any T D and H to learn it.
Other CD's can advise you on which module is hot.
Hope this helps.
Peace
