Desiguy 1981,
Doing a SAP course does not have any pre requsite ( I have seen B. Sc. with a 12th std. fail, B. com, M. sc. Botonay, do it and get a good job). So entering it would not be a very difficult thing.
However, getting a job after doing SAP is the greatest problem. You need a push / insider to get the first job and with the economy in shambles, getting the first break in the job would be the priority (which is more tough than studying itself)
These days in India, every tom dick and harry in India are doing it and waiting to get employed (In b;lore one module is 4 month duration, part time and Rs. 35,000). You have an advantage of being in Canada and also you have nice IT back ground. If you are on EI., the Govt. can sponser you for some SAP course module at their cost in local institutions...
Also SAP is harder to learn then Oracle / Visual basic etc...
In 1996 when I wanted to enroll in SAP in India, the consellor kicked me out saying that they need a BE degree with atleast 4 years industry experience to learn SAP. It was 2.5 lakhs in those days. However, now it is so common for any T D and H to learn it.
Other CD's can advise you on which module is hot.

Hope this helps.

Peace

It is nice to see that you want to get ahead in life and make good use of the education that have thus far. I am providing you here with a link and I want you to read through this and if you are free and close by Burnhamthorpe Road East in Mississauga, please drop in and meet with the Help Center People and evaluate your educational qualifications while you are there. I will also provide you with a second link to the Stanford Educational system that they have got going just recently and it is about Engineering and I want you to find out more about it and see if it is suitable to your study requirements. If found suitable, you can enroll and get some experience through their courses.

Take one step at a time. You will find things become a little easy after that.

Since the fall courses already got started, you have ample time at your disposal to plan for the Winter studies and see what you have to do to update or bring your qualifications to the Canadian entrance requirements. Talk with the people and get started as early as you can. Since you are a mature student they might give you an advanced standing in some areas of the education. Also go the libraries and see a few librarians who can provide you with free hand outs for the college courses near by. In that you will find the type of courses that you can take as a part time student and the costs associated with them. Most of the colleges and universities have guidance councilors and they will provide you with valuable guidance with the studies and the courses at that location. Since you are an Immigrant, your fees should be only a normal one and you have a whole life ahead of you to do what you want in life and advance from here.

Good Luck.

Freddie.
