Hello
I have recently acquired Canadian Driving License. Now the next step is to get a good car. I am looking for a good car, mileage between 120,000 to 150,000 (max) & my preference is Toyota Corolla. Can anyone please let me know the line of action for looking for same or if anyone is selling a "good" Toyota Corolla at a "reasonable price", do let me know.
Thanks & Best regards/ Moin
If you want to buy an old vehicle then you should look for private sellers in local newspapers. Most often people who want to sell their automobile give an advertisement in local newspaper. It is a good idea to go through these advertisements before you decide something. These advertisements can help you to find a good vehicle for you.

Try a Certified Used Car Dealer. You can go to a Honda, Toyota or Nissan dealer and check if they have this Certified Used Car stuff.
They come with warranty and stuff from the dealer.

It doesn't matter whether you buy from a private or a dealer, you need to be careful of the transaction.
Be careful of "CURBSIDE SELLERS". These individuals buy the car from private individual and then sell it privately to other individual. They make a cut in between. How to detect them? Easy... When you see a car from individual, ask for car papers and see in whose name the car is? If it is in the name of individual who is selling it then you should be OK as Curbside Sellers do not transfer the car in their name (they hold it for 1 day to six months) and then sell it.
