Don’t you think we are all over reacting.
Since he bring up his topic , lets wait for him to get more info.
Its like we are predicting wats in his mind.
So guys relax let him put his response.
Again, nothing wrong putting his comment as long as his intention his not bad and not hurting anybody.
I see no problem either, if someone wants to share their 'success stories' and if interpreted right, he has posted it in the right place too. http://canadiandesi.ca/read.php?TID=22628

Like you - a Canadian .. but still DESI
Sorry incase my post has offended anybody and i have removed salary information from my previous post.
As far the questions asked by others, i am in IT indutsry and working in SAP since 1999.
I am member of Canadiandesi since 2006, just decided to create a new user ID. I have benifited a lot from this forum and thanksful to all its members.
As per below message, i am sharing my job searh experince:
I created my profile on Workopolis and after few days start getting calls from agencies and was interviewed (telephonic) by 4-5 companies. It was mix bag, two were full time position and 3 were contract.
This telephonic interviw happened somewhere in late October and as per follow up round they wanted to do face to face interview, for which i had to come to Toronto. I took 1 week off in first week of November and gave these interviews and also finalised my apartment.
Out of five, two companies were quick enough to turn around and give me the offer letter , others said that they will have to go though the hiring process and it typicaly takes 2-4 weeks, which i told them i am not ready to wait.
One of the company told me that because of bad economy they are going to stop all recruitment processes till Jan 2009 and see how there sales are during X-mas season. (You guesses it right, it was retail company).
Now the two job offers i had were quiete different, one was kind of easy job where i could spend more time with my family and settle down in Canada.
And as it was with City i felt its more stable in this economy.Though it has less salary, nothing new to learn, okay position.
The other job was with a private company where they were starting implementation, which means long hours. Excellent benifits, much better salary and very good position.
Difference in Salary was around 20% and i will let you guys guess which one i joined.
One of the mistakes which i made was around picking my apartment, i am staying near Bramalea city center in Brampton but my new job is in Scarborough and the daily commute is quite long.... i wish i had done better on this front, but anyways its just matter of 1 year
Tamilkuravan, you guessed almost all things correctly :-)

By God grace, till now our experience has been realy pleasent and we are enjoying over here.
Will keep you guys posted.
Would like to know why you have posted this here? If you were someone who had been contributing the forum for some time, or had been asking something about Canada/jobs/life etc. and then you now wanted to update us with your experience and status, it would have made sense. However, you just come in and put in a matter of fact without much details is hardly helpful.
As Loser has put it, unless you give us lot more details, your post is of no use to anyone. Also, this particular post does not warrant it to be under success stories.
