So what does everyone make of this morning's "raids" on militant camps and the claimed arrests of some top militants?
Is this just a sham by Pakistan to pacify India and the US for some time (until this is forgotten)?
Just catch and sentence some mid-tier militants as a PR sham?
Or is it a genuine attempt by the new Pakistani govt to work towards progress with India (a "policy shift" as some Western media is claiming)?
If so, they obviously knew about these camps long before the attacks.
Why didn't they raid these camps earlier?
Also, if they knew about these camps, can we also speculate that they know where the more dangeours militants are hiding, esp. the top brass of LeT and Al Qaida?

At the moment, it looks like a ploy organized to appease the world leaders and the Indian govt. to make it look that they are acting on the evidence provided.
IMO, there is a real threat of Military regime taking control of the weak Zardari government in Pakistan. The ISI and the Military have already grown out of control of the civilian govt. The current ploy maybe by the Govt to gauge the response of the extremists in response to tougher action. If the response is overwhelming from the extremists/ISI/Army, the govt. will make some scape goats and sentence a few lower level militants or provide an Alibi for the leaders to escape, and continue with the same drama as Musharraf. But if the response in encouraging and the ISI or militants seem to be retreating, the govt will go for a bigger catch and start getting things under control - which will be boon to the region and the only positive contribution of Zardari to the pakistani people and the world. But for all this to happen, they need the Military on thier side, which at the moment looks very unlikely. (wishful thinking indeed)

Pak govt will never handover this people to India

Even if handover, Indian judiciary system will long enough ( may be 10-15 years ) to annonce PENALTY
So forget about PEACE in INDIA & wait for more attacks
They will just do some fake encounters and hand over some bodies to the Indian and USa authorities.

Trust me on this guys. Nothing's gonna happen. Who did Pakistan capture? Suddenly in one night they are showing the world that they captured Mumbai's masterminds? Either their intelligent agencies are overly intelligent/efficient or they captured someone out of the blue to make a point. I highly suspect both. This won't prove anything - at least to India.
Few weeks more and India will go back to the same road - much travelled about forgetting these incidences. Another incidence down the line, Indian politicians will cry again, and few months later India will run another Peace Bus from Delhi to may be, Peshavar.
Deep down within our hearts each of us know that nothing's gonna happen. Indian politicians are a hopeless bunch and good at nothing.
I am still shocked as to why Indian Govt. hasn't yet broken the diplomatic ties with Pak. Are they waiting for any Supreme Being to come on earth?
It's frustrating...
