Also, when you do call, do NOT give any personal or specific information, as it might be some kind of scam to get your information too. I would go as far as to say do not call from your home phone...a bit paranoid, but these are times when being careful does not hurt.
At times, tickets are issued based on traffic camera monitoring, but the fact that it has your son's name seems a bit fishy....but, hey, the cops may be getting super efficient....
Keep us posted.

My son went to the court to find out about the ticket & he got to know , indeed a ticket was issued , which he did not remember??? Later on his friends who were with him reminded him of the lady who gave him the ticket at 12.30 am. He went to the court on the day of his case & recognized the only lady who was waiting for him, he managed to postpone the case twice, decided to appear in front of the judge last month. When he revisited, he was told that if he admits his guilt, then the demerit points & the fine will be waived off. Finally the fairy tale ended well.
This incident has kept me thinking ...may be Canada has been rude to new immigrants ... but then the next generation are trained to go through any obstacle that comes their way(Good or Bad).
I thank everyone who were generous with their output.
