Date of Birth Certificate for Immigration

I am living in UAE & I will be applying for Immigration.For Date of birth Certificate I contacted Indian Embassy & they have given me a date of birth certificate saying that based on my passport information my date of birth is so & so.
Could you please tell me that this kind of certificate is sufficient or do I need to get the certificate from Municipal Corporation in India.

Always try to get the best evidence. You can submit what you have but be prepared to provide better proof of DOB.
