Hi

I have the WP for Canada. I will be travelling in next month. I have never been to canada.

I would like to take my parents( at least my mother) to canada along with me. I need to start the visa process for them. I need the information to process the visa for them.

1. What is the right visa?
2. what are the documents need to submit?
3. How much time it will take for processing?
4. Since I am planning to take them along with me, Do I need to submit my documents?

I request to suggest the process and also the best of way of getting them to canada.

Regards
Praveen

1. What is the right visa?

If you want to take them along with you, a visitors visa is the right one. However, it is highly unlikely that they will get the visa because you are going to Canada for the first time on a work visa. It is easier for parents to get a visitors visa if their kids are residing and settled in Canada and are in a position tio support thier visit.

2. what are the documents need to submit?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp

3. How much time it will take for processing?

Within India, decision on visitors visa does not take more than a couple of weeks from time of application.

4. Since I am planning to take them along with me, Do I need to submit my documents?

Yes

Thanks a lot for your reply.

What would be the chances of getting the visa, If I start their visa process after one month I reached to Canada?

Chances are much better than applying for them before you leave for Canada. Also, it makes sense for you to settle down yourself in Canada, establish some connections in the country and then call them.
